Long Expsosures

This submission was inspired by one of jwilliam‘s recent submissions entitled Random Selection. Seeing these images I felt compelled to dig through my archives for some long exposures. It’s difficult to achieve compelling results in doing long exposures. Attaining a decent focus is a huge issue, but getting the right exposure is a challenge of another matter.

Several of these images date back as far as 2004, while others are relatively recent captures from my neighborhood here in Upper Haight. Thanks for clicking!

I love the colors in Irving Street, and the motion of the trees and clouds in Backyard.

I’m a little partial to the Clayton St. one, as I’ve lived at two different locations on that street, but the backyard one also really intrigues me. I like how the trees are all… Shaky-Shaky!

Yeah okay I remember that you used to live in Upper Haight. Great hood. Do you miss it ever?
