MUNI is prime real estate for ad space.  It’s a high-visibility space, yes, but it’s also a dynamic medium in motion.  There’s something very intriguing to me about seeing a huge ad along with a bunch of bobbing heads in accompaniment.  There is a story here.  Transit is more than just a vessel for connecting one’s starting point with a destination.  It’s an entire medium for communication to the masses.  Like it or not, this system is fully integrated with city life.  We can only pray that the images we’re forced to look at inspire creative thinking, invoke the imagination, and reach out to our better senses in some way.  Interestingly enough, many of them do just that.
